In Growth & Profit

It’s a holiday today in my part of the world.  We tend to use holidays as an opportunity to remember how fortunate we are and how grateful we ought to be.  That’s great – let’s resolve to spend the next year remembering our good fortune and gratitude on a daily basis.  See you next week.

The equivalent holiday here in Australia is called ANZAC Day, remembrance of a disastrous attempt to land in Gallipoli Bay in Turkey during WW1 where many died on the beach. Anzac Day now celebrates every conflict that Australia has participated in and I’m always impressed with how the young show respect and thanks to those that have fought on their behalf in the past and currently. It’s not just in the schools but families take their children to a dawn service so they can experience the emotions associated with Anzac Day.
